Heaven is a place on Earth
Its so weird, I usually sleep like a baby on planes. From take off to touch down I am pretty much out for the count but on this particular plane ride, I am wide awake and can’t fall asleep. I am on my way back home to LA from somewhere else where I was probably frolicking around and I remember staring out the window and thinking how beautiful the sky and the clouds looked. The rays of sunlight spread out across the sky in luminous bright colors, the clusters of clouds grouped together like big puffy fluffy sky puppies. You know how you can manage to make any fluffy cloud look like a cute animal in your mind type of way. As beautiful and magnificent as I thought this vision was I was thinking, this is a feeling that is kind of “heaven like” but the concept of it being a place in the sky above the clouds where all the angels and GOD lives waiting to either welcome us through the pearly gates because we were “good” or damn us to hell if we were “bad” makes no sense now that we are able to go above the clouds and see clearly that there is no literal place called heaven up here. Well to me that concept NEVER made sense and always left me scratching my head and thinking Double U Tee Eff.
So I’m gazing out of the window and the question goes through my mind.
What is heaven? Where is this place? Why can we only get there when we die?
I didn’t ponder too deeply on this question and eventually dozed off. When we landed I was walking off the plane and I happened to notice the song playing on the loudspeaker was Belinda Carlisle singing

I kinda stopped and cocked my head to listen to the song and I laughed. Okay so I got an answer to my question. Heaven is a place on earth. At that point in time I didn’t think too much more about it, the answer made sense even if I didn’t fully understand exactly what that means or how it made sense. Fast forward to another plane trips months later, same scenario. Can’t sleep, looking out the window, beautiful vision of the sky and clouds and thinking again about “what is heaven?”. This time I’m walking through LAX, its crowded, noisy and super busy and I am in somewhat of a hurry for some reason to get down to the baggage claim area and for some reason my ears tune out all other noise and tunes into the song playing on the loudspeakers. I stop dead in my tracks so that I can figure the song out because I don’t recognize it because it sounds like a classical instrumental piece, so I’m trying to figure out what I’m listening for and as I listen to the violins play I start to hum along with the music and sound it out.

It was that same song being played with classical musical instruments, I just bust out laughing in the middle of the airport. Coincidence? Nah 
Okay, so I got the same answer to the same question I asked before, and still I thought it was really cool to receive the answer, still didn’t really understand it although it made perfect sense still. Fast forward in time again, same thing on the plane, this time I’m getting in a cab and as soon as I get in the cab the driver turns on the radio after asking me where I am going and the song playing is a different song, but the same message and words
“Heaven is a place on earth”
Heaven is a place on earth, its a place we are able to experience while we are “living” in physical form. Heaven is within us, its not a literal spot its a state of consciousness created with conscious thoughts.

I think its true, when Love comes first Heaven is created within us and experienced outside of us and Love makes everything beautiful in our vision. The rain and the storms are as beautiful and necessary as the bright shining sun so we bask in the rays of the sun and learn to dance in the rain through the storms.

Heaven & Hell Is In The Mind & Our Deeds:
Man is the maker of his destiny – We are responsible for what we are, & whatever we wish ourselves to be, we have the power to make ourselves & create heaven or hell for over-selves right here. If what we are now is the result of our own past actions, it certainly follows that whatever we wish to be in future can be produced by our present actions; so we have to know how to act.
This human body is the greatest body in the universe, & a human being the greatest being. man is higher than all animals, than all angels; none is greater than man.
Man is a man, so long as he is struggling to rise above nature, & this nature is both internal & external… And if we read the history of nations between the lines, we shall always find that the rise of a nation comes with an increase in the number of such men; who create heaven on earth & the fall begins when this pursuit after the Infinite, however vain the Utilitarians may call it, has ceased. That is to say, the mainspring of the strength of every race begins the day that spirituality wanes & materialism gains grounds.
You have to grow from inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul. man in general lay all the blame of life on their fellowmen, or, failing that, on God, or they conjure up a ghost, & say it is fate. where is fate, & who is fate? We reap what we sow. We are the makers of our own destiny & fate. None else has to blame, none has the praise. The wind is blowing; those vessels whose sails are unfurled catch it, & go forward on their way, but those which have their sails furled do not catch the wind. is that the fault of the wind?
Make your own future. ‘Let the dead past bury its dead.’ The infinite future is before you, & you must always remember that each word, thought, & deed lays up a store for you, & that as the bad thoughts & bad works are ready to spring upon your like tigers, so also there is the inspiring hope that the good thoughts & good deeds are ready with the power of a hundred thousand angels to defend you always & for ever.
Man begins to struggle & fight against nature. He makes many mistakes, he suffers. But eventually, he conquers nature & realizes his freedom. When he is free, nature becomes his slave. i disagree with the idea that freedom is obedience to the laws of nature. I do not understand what that means. according to the history of human progress, it is disobedience to nature that has constituted that progress. For the world can be good & pure like heaven, only if our lives are good & pure. It is an effect, & we are the means. Therefore, let us purify ourselves. Let us make ourselves perfect & enjoy the heavenly experience on earth.
Every thought that we think, every deed that we do, after a certain time becomes fine, goes into seed form, so to speak, & live in the fine body in a potential form, & after a time, it emerges again & bears its results. These results condition the life of man. Thus he molds his own life. Man is not bound by any other laws excepting those which he makes for himself. Purity, patience & perseverance are the three essentials to success, & above all Love.
Life is ever expanding, contraction is death. The self-seeking man who is looking after his personal comforts & leading a lazy life – there is no room for him even in hell. Every good thought that we send to the world, without thinking of any return, will be stored up there & break one link in the chain, & make us purer & purer, until we become the purest of mortals. If you project hatred & jealousy, they will rebound on you with compound interest. No power can avert them; when once you have put them in motion, you will have to bear them. Remembering this will prevent you from doing wicked things.
The road to the Heaven is the roughest steepest in the universe. It is a wonder that so many succeed, no wonder that so many fall. Character has to be established through a thousand stumbles.
Each work has to pass through these stages – ridicule, opposition, & then acceptance. Each man who thinks ahead of his time is sure to be misunderstood. So opposition & persecution are welcome, only I have to be steady & pure & must have immense faith in God, & all these will vanish.
Each sole is potentially divine. The goal is to manifest this divinity within by controlling nature, external & internal. Do this either by work, or worship, or psychic control, or philosophy – by one, or more, or all of these – & be free to float on heaven. This is the whole of religion. Doctrine, or dogmas, or rituals, or books, or churches, or forms, are but secondary details.
Go & preach to all: ‘Arise, awake, sleep no more; within each of you, there is the power to remove all wants & all miseries. Believe this, & the power will be manifested.’… If you can think that infinite power, infinite knowledge, & indomitable energy lie within you, & if you can bring out that power, you also can become an Heavenly Soul!!!
