Did Kat Stacks deserve to get slapped?

In case you are not familiar with Ms Stacks I can fill you in on the little bit I know about her. A woman (video model) who has claimed to have sex with different rappers and entertainers who airs the “dirty laundry” out on them. I think she may also have had some beefs with other models or what not, I am not sure so I won’t go too much more into it however you can google her to find out more if it is of interest to you. This specific video was the buzz of the internet today, and after reading and hearing so many people talking about this girl getting slapped, my curiosity got the best of me, so I clicked on the video to see it. Below is my video response to it

When we see things that are disturbing we automatically want to judge the situation, take sides on it. Plenty of folks are outraged and appalled on one end and just as many are entertained and thinks she got just what she “deserves”. I personally did find it quite disturbing, it tugged at my heart strings to view this video and my heart went out to everybody. This woman doesn’t deserve to be beat up by men because she runs her mouth on the internet and the males are examples of men in a weak state of mind. None of them deserve to be “bashed” in my opinion and all of them could use some love and a few hugs in life. However no matter how triggered my heart was to witness this video I did take it as an opportunity to wish healing on them all. This woman is apparently thriving off drama and mainly negative attention and we do create circumstances to keep keep it coming if that is what we are responding to in life. While I am over here wanting to reach out and hug her, she may be on her end doing the cabbage patch and the moonwalk at all the extra attention she is now getting and the opportunity to really turn this into a big internet fiascal to have people all up in arms about, however talking and keeping her name in their mouths. As for the guys, as I said in the video it was probably not the smartest move to make to assault somebody, video tape it and then release it on the internet because if she does press charges and the video turns out to be key to it all, they could be looking at going to jail over this. If that happens accountability for their actions can’t be placed on her because of her actions, but I’m sure it will try to be put on her some way some how. I personally won’t be expending too much more energy on this whole drama, but it does lead me to think deeper into this whole situation and the relationship between black men and women, the negative stigmas and images of black women in hip hop, how we are bringing these stigmas to “life” and playing them out in real life. That is another blog for another time
